Growing up in the Sussex countryside, and having worked with horses from an early age has inspired me to create these sculptures. On my numerous walks in and around Sussex and its coastal regions I have been able to find all the materials I need.

Wolves are another passion of mine. My husband and I were lucky enough to become friends with a person who helps look after wolves at the Reading Wolf Sanctuary in Berkshire. Here I spent a blissfull day walking with and acctually stroking them. The wolves allowed me to sketch them and take photographs from which I have drawn almost life-size works. I hope that people can see from my drawing just how beautiful, intelligent and wise wolves are. Listening to them howl at close quarters was an amazing experiance.

I spend many hours deeply absorbed in sculpturing, painting and drawing. Only when I am happy that I have completely captured the likeness of my subjects do I feel my creation is complete.
